12/ 09/08 Regimen Revised

So I have been getting emails asking how my regimen will change because I will be straighting every other week and using the ApHogee Products

From now on I will where my hair straightened on week to enjoy my length and then the next week wear braid-out , bun, or pony tail...So I will have 2 regimens for the alternating weeks

The week my hair is straightened

Prepoo overnight before shampooing
Shampoo with moisturizing shampoo
Deep condition w/heat using moisturizing conditioner
Use Aphogee Keratin Green Tea Restructurizer and ApHogee ProVitamin Leave-In Conditioner

Air dry for 30 mins or sit under dryer for 30 mins before blow drying ( Never blow dry dripping wet hair)
When I have time...Air dry completely with hair haning loose

On this week I will rotate Flat Ironing , Roller sets, and Caruso Sets as a way of straightening..
Every night apply a little bit of EXTRA VIRGIN COLD PRESSED OLIVE OIL to hair and
comb through hair...Then apply just a little more to ends and wrap or pin curl & cover with scarf

Every Other week when my hair is not straighten I will be doing my normal regimen
Shampoo with moisturizing shampoo 1x Week
Deep condition w/heat using moisturizing conditioner 2x week
Prepoo overnight 2x week
Co-wash 1x week

Lightly Spritz with Aloe and Rosewater Mix nightly
Moisturize nightly with K.I.S.S. Moisturizer ( Coming Soon) Or Shea Butter
Air dry always in braided plaits..

Protein Treatment 1x month
Clarify 1x month

Occasional braid outs
Buns 98% of the time

  2. Love your hair!
Can I ask a couple of questions here?
1)What was your length when you started your hair journey?
2)How long did it take you to get where you are now (length-wise)?
    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for sharing your new regimen. On the weeks that you are wearing braidouts, do you seal your ends with oil, or just use the KISS moisturizer/shea butter? Thanks!

p.s. Feel free to e-mail me the response if that is more convenient: tika98@yahoo.com

  5. Hi Traycee just wondering if you trimmed your hair during the growth period from APL to waist lenght and what kind of relaxer do you use.
I am doing a stretch and thinking of possibly changing my relaxer from Affirm to something else. The last time I used a new relaxer it made my hair underprocessed. How do you get the hair to have "body" without it being underprocessed. Sorry for the long post.

  6. I tried your prepoo method, using the same oils except I added jojoba oil(didn't have coconut oil). I loved it, my scalp felt like it was breathing. The next morning my hair was so soft.
I will be doing this 2 to 3 times weekly from now on.

  7. Do you give out your email address? I was just wondering because I would like to achieve 6 inches of hair growth this year. My curently hair is around 14 1/2 inches and I get it permed whenever I can(which can be every 6 months). Your blog is very helpful, however I have some questions, and I was wondering if you could answer. Anyhow, thanks for making a wonderful website that gives us hope for longer hair!
