I got more tips by email than on my blog ....Which is good but I got all this information that can help others also ..... So one day this week I will sit still long enough to post everyones good tips in one place to help other non-stretchers like myself....
So I been concentrating on keeping my hair moisturized....I co-washed Saturday and used my girl... SongBird's tip to do sections.....I made four sections to pre-poo....I mixed Coconut Oil and Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner ....I applied this to each section making sure that I saturated my new growth down to tips of my hair...I prepooed on dry hair for 45 mins under heating cap....Only mistake was.... I Forgot she said wash in sections...I got a lot of tangles...So I saturated my hair again with conditioner to untangled......I will absolutely be deep conditioning every three days like Product Junkie Diva suggested....
All of you Ladies really helped a sista out....I got so many emails with tips....Thank you ...Thank you !!!!
Yesterday I started started going to a clinic taking B12 injections.....The injections contain B vitamins only ...Health practitioners have known for years that Vitamins are essential for energy, weight loss, and disease prevention. The B12 injections are every day and If I remember correctly the B6 injections are given a few times a week....
Sounds extreme doesn't it but here are the benefits:
Vitamin B12 is known as the "energy vitamin" because it gives a real energy boost. It is used to remedy fatigue and it speeds up the metabolism.
Vitamin B12 shots give a tremendous boost of energy. This generally helps people to maintain their diets, and motivates them to exercise and increase physical activity.
These also help maintain muscle tone, protect the mucus lining in the digestive tract and mouth, and upkeep good health of the nervous system and organs like the liver, skin, hair and eyes.
Great Stress Reducers
Vitamin B promotes normal growth and development, treats anemia and some types of nerve damage, helps mental and nervous conditions, improves resistance to infection and disease, increases appetite and energy, and improves memory.
Having 4 kids can mentally and physically drain you...Not to mention I take care of my Mother and my Father(help run his business)......I'm praying this will give me the energy to keep going...The energy to increase and maintain my workouts....Lose fat and Tone muscles in the process.....The Bolded above are my issues
Only negative thing so far is I hate needles and shots....To put myself through shots everyday is going to take dedication...
I will definiatly keep you guys posted during all of this.....

First I did my youngest Nieces hair (both nieces are in Jr. High)....She has 3c/b hair...While flat-ironing I wasn't that impressed....It was straight... but nothing different or spectacular than any other flat-iron...I did notice it gave a nice shine
I started my second Niece who has 4b relaxed hair.....And the finish results were Awesome...Great shine...So much body....But by the time I finished my second Nieces hair ..My first Nieces ( who is natural ) hair was already starting to puff..
So it did great on my relaxed Nieces hair and it was just OK on my natural Niece....

The summer is good time to start....Air dryers like myself love the heat...I don't have to wait all day for my hair to dry.....Hair drys in a couple of hours.......I love the summer....I love the sun !!!!
I will be rocking braid-outs, twist-outs and updo's for the summer........I'll probably only use heat this summer a couple of times for some upcoming events in my family ( I'll do length checks then ).......

I'm at the grocery store and this women with long Middle Back Length hair walks by and I'm in awe ....until I really looked and saw her hair was needing much needed attention...and the last 3 1/2 to 4 inches were very split, dry and frizzy...I don't care how long your hair is.... If it is dull, damaged, and un kept...Your the envy of no one...
So many of has reached our goals and feel like well I'm done....But the work is just beginning. Long hair is old hair....Here are tips to keep your long locks healthy...
Moisturize ends daily and seal-in moisture with an oil...( The goal is to prevent spit ends)
If ends are spit dust or trim ends.....You can not mend split ends...I don't care what the product promises..Only Temp fixes
Long hair does not do well to heated appliances such as blow dryers, flat irons and scorching hot curling irons because hair is older. It’s best to use heat for special occasions....If heat is mandatory on a regular bases find ways to use indirect instead of direct heat
Pre poo over night ....Apply deep conditioner to dry hair... Mixing in oils with conditioner works great too... Cover with plastic cap and wear it to bed... Rinsing it out in my morning shower. Leaving the product on overnight really gives it a chance to penetrate hair shaft....
Deep conditioning once a week should be mandatory
Take the extra time to untangle hair properly.....When combing and de tangling always start at bottom and work way up to roots...
Long natural ladies....you can wash, condition and untangle in sections to prevent tangling...Some long natural women wash their hair in braided plaits to prevent tangles, also........

with heated plates. Automatic multi-level steam function steams hair straight while smoothing the cuticle layer and helping

CVS is having a sell on all Vo5 ....66 cents each ...nationwide...So I stocked up for the summer ....Took advantage of the sell....LOL...Tonight I tried the strawberries and cream for my co-wash...Oh I'm in love .....My hair was so soft ...It is perfect for co-washes...It is runny but it made it easier to get it to my scalp and massage it clean....Oh and it smelled so so good.....I definitely like it better than Sauve Humectant...I have two big bottle of Suave Humectant and one big bottle of Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship...Once I'm finish with those I'll be using Vo5 strickly for my co-washes
I'm so glad I tried this....It was wonderful !!! In the shower I co-washed then applied my Butter Treat....Left on my hair about 5 mins while I showered....When I touched my hair to rinse I immediately felt the difference....My hair was unbelievably soft...No tangles what soever .....My hair felt like I had been deep conditioning under the dryer forever ...LOL....After rinsing and squeezing excess water from my hair ...I applied a very small amount of Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat to my hair as a leave-in and sealed with Coconut Oil
Only con : It doesn't smell like any thing and it was on the expensive side...$17.99 at CVS
Forever I have been in love with Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo and conditioner....Gave me soft hair the slip was great ....I never got a tangle using this stuff...The shampoo immediately makes your hair soft and silky ....... The problem I ran into about 5 months ago is I couldn't find it anywhere....One lady that owned a beauty supply said she stopped selling it because they had gone up on the price and it was harder for her to sell....I bought up what she had left but, I was so hurt and the product that gave me the closest results were Nexxus .......
Guess what ........I found it !!!! Right around the corner from my house.... In a white hair salon .....For a reasonable price too....I bought the huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner....The owner of the salon said she would never stop selling it as long as Goldwell makes the Kerasilk Line....Thank God..A young lady on LHCF last week said ULTA sells it but I never made it over there to check it out.........

Last week a girlfriend of mine made a comment to me and said, " How would you know ?? You are far from being dark skinned". I guess I am.... but never have I considered myself light skinned ....I always thought of myself as being in the middle....But why does it matter? Aren't we all black ? Do darker skinned women really have trails & tribulations that lighter skinned women don't ? I just don't get it....To me that is what makes black beautiful....We come in so many different shades of color and we have so many different hair textures.......Honestly I get it...But why does it have to be that way?....We have a enough people judging black people....Why do have to judge each other ...too?

Hot Oil Treatments.......
Everyday issues........ temperature changes, pollution and humidity, brushing, and the use of hair products such as curlers, steamers, straighteners and dryers, can result in damaged hair. Hot oil treatments can temporary repair the damage. Must be repeated on a regular basis to maintain their effectiveness. (Once a month or twice a month for severe damage hair)
How to choose the right oils for your hair???
Don't waste your money on store bought hot oil treatments....The oils that are found in your kitchen are best for your hair....Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil.... Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Seasame Oil, Peanut Oil...You get the idea....Or play scientist and mix some oils together.......
Some hair types like coarse or thick hair will usually respond very well to the heavier oils like olive and coconut. Other hair types like fine or thin hair will generally do better with lighter oils like sesame and almond oil.
Warning Hot Oil Treatments are messy !!!!
Heat just enough oil to cover your hair (approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup of oil depending on the length of your hair) in the microwave until warm (but not hot). All oil treatments need to be used with caution as any hot mixture can result in surface or first degree burns. It is always a good idea to test the temperature of the oil on the inside of your wrist before applying to your scalp. Too hot for your wrist? Let it cool.
-Carefully apply the olive oil, with your fingertips, to the ends and dry parts of your hair. If your hair is naturally oily, avoid applying the olive oil to the hair closest to your scalp or your bangs. My hair and scalp is dry so I apply massage in scalp also.....
-Then cover with plastic cap and wrap a hot towel from the clothes drier around the shower cap and leave on your hair for at least one hour or sit under heating cap for 30mins
Shampoo oil out....One lather should be enough...Maybe two....But do not over shampoo hair ...Condition and -Let your hair air dry to maximize the benefit of the oil treatment.

I have horrible skin....Very sensitive....When we went out of town it was super windy there all week and now my skin is so so dry and itchy....The whole reason why I had started this hair journey was because of my itchy scalp and for last 3 months this is the first time since I can remember my scalp was not itching .........Now after being in drying weather everything itches from head to toe...So I'm going back to the basics....I'm going back to what I did months ago to get rid of the dreaded itchy scalp....Starting tonight......
Rosemary Oil: Rosemary has been shown to promote increased circulation as well as help remove dandruff and sebum accumulations on the scalp. DO NOT USE IF YOU'RE PREGNANT! Rosemary oil nourishes the scalp and removes dandruff...Stimulates blood flow of scalp...Never apply directly to scalp always mix with other oils or somethingPeppermint Oil : Its balancing action regulates the production of oil which is helpful in cases of dry or oily hair...Removes toxic congestion in the skin...Stimulates blood flow of scalp....Never apply directly to scalp always mix with other oils or something
Coconut oil: Softens the hair and conditions the scalp. Using the coconut oil as a pre-wash conditioner can rid a person of dandruff better than a medicated shampoo.
What I do is take my conditioners I use for prepoo's (pre-shampoo treatment) .....Right now I'm using Proclaim Cholesterol ....I fill bowl with conditioner...Mix in about 1 tablespoon of Coconut Oil, about 15 drops of Rosemary Oil, and 15 drops of Peppermint Oil....You don't have to use so much Rosemary and Peppermint Oil if is too strong for you....Stir and apply to dry hair ...I use a applicator brush ( the one used for relaxing and coloring) and apply to scalp to ends of my hair...I make sure scalp and hair is completely covered...Then cover with plastic cap...And cover plastic cap with Satin Scarf and leave on over night....I will do this 2 to 3 times a week overnight.......
It feels so good...The Peppermint Oil and Rosemary Oil causes Cool and Hot Sensations...Very relaxing...And it also stimulates blood flow...... which stimulates growth...I smell like a Candy Cane but it feels so good and it works...Better than any Medicated Shampoo I have ever used.....
Tip: If you don't have time for Pre-poo Treatments...Add some drops of Peppermint Oil and Rosemary Oil to Shampoo...After shampooing let Shampoo sit on scalp for a few minutes before rinsing....This also feels really good...It feels refreshing....Leaves scalp feeling very clean....
