Product Review / My Hair & Swimming

Friday evening my Husband & I took the boys to my Mother n Laws to visit and get in the pool...We had a ball in the water...Before getting in the water...I rinsed off in the shower right outside the pool...Rinsed my hair...Then added SE Cholesterol to the length of my hair..And put my dripping wet hair in a bun....

Think of your hair is like a sponge once full it doesn't leave much room to absorb the chlorine
I didn't wear a swimming cap ...But if I was swimming everyday or a few times a week then I would choose to wear one each time...
Immediately after swimming I rinsed my hair in the shower next to the pool...Then shampooed with Ion Swimmers Shampoo and lather twice..
When I rinsed my hair felt so so soft...I love that shampoo...
Next I applied Silk Elements MegaSilk Intense Conditioning Mayonnaise (Protein) to my hair ....

I took a grocery bag (forgot my deep conditioning cap) and tied it around my head and let the conditioner sit on for 40 mins....When I rinsed ..My hair felt amazing...I next rubbed glycerin through my hair ....Next I applied Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship Leave In and my Proclaim Natural 7 Oil...I air dried in two plaits ...

My hair turned out amazingly soft....I LOVE THE Silk Elements MegaSilk Intense Conditioning Mayonnaise..

It is a light protein conditioner...It left my hair so soft...Most of you know I'm protein sensitive and I can't use every ones protein...But this one is a keeper....

Thanks so much for this ... we just put a pool in, and my kids are swmming all the time. They are little (5 and 7), so they have natural hair, but I'm trying to figure out the quickest regimen for their hair. No way can I be washing two full-blown heads of hair every night!

Where did you get the Ion Swimmers Shampoo?

i swim 3 times per week. i was at fist using a neutralizing shampoo, can't remember the brand, veranol,or something that started with a v. it was alright, but left my hair pretty dry. i switched up to pantene clarifying shampoo which is good, but i plan to switch to the ion swimmer shampoo once i run out. been eyeing it for a minute... great tip.

I'm glad you like the MegaSilk Intense Cond. Mayo. It's one of the few products I've stuck with over the years. If my hair needs a little extra something, I like to mix it with olive and/or avocado oil - nothing else can compare!

FYI, Aubrey Swimmers Shampoo is even better... leaves hair real soft and great ingredients.
