Tonight after I finished my work out I was emptying out my locker and a young lady about my age was like... " Girl you was out there doing your thing ...You made me work on that tread mill trying to keep up with you".....I laughed and said some work outs are easier than others..By that time two other women much younger than us was like you are in such good shape ...They went on and on and on....
While they were going on and on...I'm looking at myself in the mirror thinking ..What in the world are they talking about ???? All I see is its taking forever for me to get cut up and gain more muscle..I forced out a smile and thank you
Funny how we don't see what others see because we are so caught up in reaching that final goal..We can't enjoy the different stages along the way
Bringing it to our hair journey....We can't enjoy reaching shoulder length, arm pit length , bra-strap length etc...Because we are so stuck on where we want to be at the end...We miss out on enjoying each individual accomplishments...
So I decided to reward myself every time I reach one of my small goal because I deserve it...
After I reach physical goals ...I will get a new work out outfit or work out toy....When I reach a new hair goal...I will reward myself with a small product or hair accessories haul..Well those are the rewards I'm going to share anyways

Amen...preach it sista! :)
Traycee, you are so right!! We can not sometimes see what others see. This can be weight loss, hair accomplishments, career goals, or even education!!! Very good points were made!! Thanks for sharing!!
Recognizing your accomplishments and rewarding yourself?...love it love it love it! this is such a great idea and i think it is so true that we don't recognize the little stages along the way that get us to our final goal. we ARE so hard on ourselves...thanks for this post. :) I sure do hope you were able to take their comments graciously..because they are true! Your progress has been an inspiration for so many..myself included.
You must have been reading my mind today. I needed to hear this from somebody other than my husband. I feel so ready to meet my hair goals and my financial goals that I have been letting depression take over. Even though I look at my b4 and afters and I see ive come a long way. Its hard to not put a time limit on when you think something should be achieved but when you dont thats when you find happiness along the way to your goals. Thanks Traycee
love it...this made me think
You've been reading my mind. When my journey began I was sooo depressed looking at all the gr8 lengths out there. I realized that b/4 you reach the ultimate goal there's a whole bunch of "in-between" to enjoy. But you have to do just that...enjoy them.
Thx 4 this
I needed that today Traycee! Thanks :-)
oo yes MA'AM!! i like that idea! LOL shopping, here i come...
I was just telling myself that last night. I was so depressed over how my hair & body USED 2 b (bra strap length hair and size 2 body) than I had my 2nd child & 4 some reason the hair fell out (neck length) and I'm about 10 lbs heavier than I'd like, but my hair is growing back and I have lost 4lbs!!! So yay ME! I'll keep going and celebrate the achievements!!
Good Stuff!

Thanks so much! That was right on time, it definitely encouraged me Traycee. God bless you for being a blessing!
I always love to see other women focused and doing their thing. Its extremely motivating and gets me motivated to follow suit.
The best motivation isn't people on tv or magazines, its the real people doing it and struggling along the way.
