Sylver2 is a life saver, same hair type as her also. She is the reason I learned how to stretch. I have learned in my still ongoing journey you should never be unwilling to learn new things.
Love it! Stretching is a challenge. I have been doing it for years - before I even knew it was called "stretching", LOL. I was just a grad student, trying to "stretch" my dollars! But even though I have been stretching, I still struggle with keeping my hair healthy and under control during the stretch!
Slyver2 is really good with her techniques. I have watched her videos for a while now. I am 22 weeks post relaxer and I use a boar bristle brush instead of a fine tooth comb on my new growth and it softens my waves so much. I only gently brush my new growth and not the rest of my hair. The boar bristles promote hair growth because it stimulates the natural oils in my scalp. I use the fine tooth comb after I use the wide tooth comb to gently get out any tangles if necessary. I get under neath the dryer after I do my braids because my hair is still wet in the morning. I am only under the dryer maybe 30-35 minutes and I let it the rest of the way air dry.
