Mane n Tail Detangler

Last wash was Thursday....I have been stretching out my wash days and stuff further apart for less manipulation...Before washing I tried the Mane n Tail Detangler...The Ladies on K.I.S.S. were raving about it ...So when I saw it at the store I thought why not..

To be honest I have only used the Silken Child Detangler...But let me tell you ...I won't be using it anymore....The Mane n Tail detangler melted my tangles and months of new growth like butter...De tangling was a breeze using this....I loved it..Only con I found about it was it was very oily...
They Say:

Detangler! The exclusive pH balanced Detangler formula is easy to use and helps eliminate tangles and the appearance of dry, split ends while adding additional conditioning benefits. Your hair becomes easily manageable with a rich and luxurious shine. Mane 'n Tail Detangler, the solution for hard to comb hair.

Getting Tired Of This Stretching Thing

I so miss my hair right now...I really do..I can't wait to relax...I can't do anything with my hair at this point but wear a bun....I'm getting so antsy ...The other night I had a dream that I relaxed at the end of my stretch and I had a upside down U ...My hair was broken badly...I was heart broken....Then I woke up...It was all a dream....

I just really miss my hair....I miss feeling my hair on my back...I miss how my hair tickles the inside of my elbows...I miss wearing different styles...I'm so ready to get out this bun.

I'm really tempted to flat iron..I just want a sneak peek at my length....I know my hair has grown considerably ...Because when I take my bun down...My hair falls a little past waist length...Even with the tons of shrinkage at the roots

Gave Away All My GVP Tea Tree Conditioner

I absolutely love GVP Tea Tree Conditioner (Sallys Version of Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Conditioner).....My hair is always left so soft, moisturized, and bouncy....

But I noticed a month or two back that every time I use it ...It leaves my scalp sore in places and itchy.....I stopped using it guessing that the conditioner was the culprit....Well I had no problems after I stopped using it...None at all.....So I used it again a couple of weeks ago to be sure it wasn't my Tea Tree conditioner that was causing the problems...Because I just didn't want to believe it..Well sure enough the next day...I had sore tender spots on my scalp and itching ,really bad itching....

I guess the conditioner is too strong for me..Or maybe I was allergic to something in it....Who knows ?????

Taking A Break On Castor Oil

I have been doing the Castor Oil Challenge on K.I.S.S. ....Well I have not oiled my scalp in 2 weeks...The thought of working through 5 months on new growth just makes me get a headache...The more new growth I got ...The harder it is to get to my scalp ...Plus it became too much manipulation....I will start back in June after I relax

Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Creme

Let me start by saying....I'm in love....Hahahahaha ...Seriously..It makes my hair so soft its scary...And my new growth drinks this stuff up...I love that its a protein leave in and will keep my hair strong (especially at the Demarcation line )....I have been using it as a leave in , as moisturizer and for styling......I love it....I bought it from Walmart...I want to say it was $5 and some change

This is one of those products that just as people that love it...You have a equal amount of people who hate it.....

I would personally say to all of you that are protein sensitive you may consider skipping on this one...Most of the complaints are hard hair and I really believe that's from the protein....Other complaints I have heard is that its flakes or turns hair white....Best advice is a little goes a long way....
Ingredients:
Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean), Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG 1 Trideceth 6, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Stearalkonium Chloride, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone, Panthenol, PPG 1 PEG 9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Lanolin Oil, Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Acrylamidopropyltrimonium Chloride/Acrylamide Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Benzophenone 3, BHA, BHT, Zea Mays Oil (Corn), Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, DMDM Hydantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Hollywood Beauty Reviews...

I loved both the Castor Oil Treatment with Mink Oil and the Olive Creme Hair Dress for Dry Hair ...

Both was very different to me....The Castor Oil Treatment was perfect for laying down my edges...The texture was more solid and it smells really good...

The Olive Creme....Had more of a whip or creamy texture...Didn't smell as good as the Castor Oil one ...But I loved the texture....I been rotating this with Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Creme ( Next Review) as a moisturizer....I spritz then apply little of the Olive Creme as a moisturizer then seal with oil....LOVE IT !!!!! I may not repurchase the Castor Oil Treatment..But the Olive Creme is now a new favorite....

I hope to try their Carrot Creme soon

I'm Just Taking Baby Steps

If you have read any of my post in the beginning of my Hair Journey....I was not a stretcher(Past Post)..
And hated everCheck Spellingything about it..
My hair was growing like weeds ...Who needed to stretch ???? Well here I am 1 year later and 16 weeks post my last relaxer...

Well to be honest I used to relax about every 6 weeks and the deeper into my hair journey I adopted the idea of relaxing less times a year for healthier hair...

Stretching has never been my thing ..So I walked into it slowly...Adding 1 week or 2 to each stretch ....
Outside of this stretch my longest was 12 weeks...I am glad that I took it slowly and advise anyone new to stretching or transitioning ...To take baby steps...Learn the techniques that work for you and go longer each time...Stretching is good but done incorrectly can cause breakage at where the two textures meet...Which would do more harm than good....So take your time and learn how to stretch before trying to go on long stretches...

Stretching Relaxers are good for the hair because its less use of chemical treatments ..Which for some help achieve thickness they have lost from chemical treatments, overlapping , and over processing...

Less chemicals = Healthier hair overtime... Also it decreases the chances of overlapping

Will stretching speed growth rate ...Of course not...But it can help you retain length in the long run..

I'm just taking one week at a time..If I start experiencing any
breakage or too much shedding ...I will end my stretch....

If I break down and relax tomorrow ...I am so proud of myself for going this long...And managing to stay cute in the process

Much Needed Break

I have been bunning latetly and to give my hair a break...I take down my bun at night and moisturize and put in a loose bun before I cover it with my satin scarf....Only time I style and do my regular bun at night is when I know I have to be somewhere and it will make it easier for me in the morning...

Another way I give my hair a break is that morning I moisturize and seal ...Twist my hair up and around then clip it....I don't use this clip in wet hair nor do I sleep in it....I try to give my hair a break after a couple of days of bunning...Perfect for around the house

Embarrassing Moment....Hahahaha

Hahahahaha...OK so I did my workout and was in the women's locker room standing in front of the large mirror (set up for you to get dressed)...I was applying my Mane n Tail Conditioner to my hair so I could jump in the sauna and steam room..

Well next to me about 3 or 4 feet was this middle age Caucasian Lady...And she kept looking my way puzzled....After she gave me about 4 or 5 quick puzzled looks...I looked to see what she was looking at ..

So the next time she looked.... I noticed she was puzzled by the fact that I was putting horse stuff in my hair...So when she looked up from the bottle ..She jumped when she looked at me directly in my face...Both of us embarrassed ...I simply said..."It works" ....I gathered my stuff and walked away..Hahahahaha

I told my Husband and he died laughing...I'm going to have put my Mane n Tail in another bottle..Hahahahahaha...

Jojoba Oil mimics the natural oils that your hair and skin produce...So it is supposed to be a great moisturizer

  • Jojoba oil is non-greasy, colorless and odorless

  • Antibacterial

  • Regular use reduces split ends

I found this link that list multiple ways to use Jojoba Oil..

    Uses Of Jojoba Oil
