After leaving the steam room..I covered my hair with a shower cap and scarf ...When I got home and showered and I didn't rinse ...I wore the scarf and shower cap until tonight...When I finally rinsed ..My hair was so soft...I co washed with Yes To Carrots conditioner ..
All this week I have been spritzing my new growth and hair every other day with a new mix that has been working great...
4 ounces of Rose Water
4 ounces of Aphogee Pro Vitamin Leave In ( Protein)
1 ounce of Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion1 ounce of Sweet Almond Oil
( Shake Well b4 each use)
Seal with my Castor oil mix...My hair needed the protein and I noticed when I co washed tonight I had hardly no shedding...I guess all I needed was a little protein..
I plan on spritzing with my protein mix every other day and spritzing with a moisturizing mix each day inbetween..( I'm excited to try the Bee Mine Products soon)
I will say this...My hair is loving the Castor Oil...I have been mixing it with a little Almond Oil and its keeping my new growth so so soft...All of my hair is so so soft from the Castor Oil...Using Castor Oil while airdrying is amazing...
I use regular Cold Press Castor Oil and I love it !!! Don't sleep on Castor Oil
( I use the brand in the pic)

Great review. I appreciate your step by step treatments. You're the best
I will try this mix... :) Thanx!
I started using the same brand of Castor Oil a week ago for my hair line and eyebrows!
In just a week my eyebrows and hair line are thicker!! My hair line is crazy soft too!
I love Castor Oil too. I use it on my skin and crazy as it sounds it keeps my oily skin under control. I guess it makes sense--oil and water don't mix, so you have to use oil to combat oil.
Do you like Jamaican black castor oil for your hair? I hear a lot of hair bloggers love that product.
Your new mix seems pretty nice. You'll have to keep us updated on that!
I may have to try this out. I recently just broke down and bought the Chi Keratin Mist and used it for the first time today and I must say it was worth every penny. My hair has never been this soft. I would not have tried it if it wasn't for you. Thank you!
How long do you steam your hair at the gym?
I brought some avocado oil yesterday. I used it to seal in my moisturizer. Then, this morning, I couldn't believe how nice my hair felt. So, I added it to my dc'ing today. I am in love. I'm putting it in my rotation/regimen. But, my first oil love is still coconut oil. Thanks for the introduction!
Hi Traycee,
I've just started reading your blog and it's been really helpful, thanks! Well anyway, I was reading one of your old posts about the fruit of the earth Aloe Vera gel and i went out to buy it and as i was reading the ingredients list i realized it has formaldehyde in it! just as a heads up because i wasn't sure how damaging that would be for hair.
HI Tracyee!! I was wondering if the moisturizing mix you use is the one with aloe vera juice in it??
This is the only CO that I have used and I love the results of using this, plus you get alot for your money. Another great mix you have.
Hi Traycee, Longterm lurker coming out of the woodwork - and I'm not even relaxed! Also I live in England! Just to say I love reading your blog- I am amazed whenever I see your beautiful hair and enjoy your informative posts on haircare, products, fashion, food, fitness and life in general. Some people have the gift of being utterly intersting and easy to read no matter what they are saying and you my sister definitely have that gift. Stay fit, blessed and healthy!

Whoo, gurlll, you ain't nevah lied when you said your hair is loving protein these days! lol. glad you've found something new that works for you. i've finally accepted that my hair just does not respond well to hard protein, so this is ONE of the few things from your journey that I shall not be trying!!! can't wait to see the results of your next relaxer though!
I'll be using a castor oil mix tomorrow after my wash. but instead of almond oil, i'll mix it with macadamia oil... and i just made a leave in mix that contains VO5 Moisture milks condish, distilled water and grapeseed oil. thanks for the post :-)
