Its A Lifestyle Change !!!

I see so many people set out to get in shape or to lose weight only to fail or gain it back... To me the problem is the mind...

Ask yourself why do you want change.. Is it to make a ex jealous ? Is it to make your home girl jealous, is it to look good in a bathing suit.... If these type things are your reasons your destined to fail...
A person that sets out to get in shape for health reasons or to live a better life usually sees success

If you go on a diet your destined to fail... Diets can start to feel like you missing out...They are boring and usually leave you feeling discouraged... You start to feel like your depriving yourself..

When others diet successfully only to come off the diet and gain it all back...

The key is making a lifestyle change.... Instead of dieting start eating healthier ... Eat in moderation... Eat till you are satisfied instead of full and make healthier decisions..

Start getting active.... Walk your dog more... Play with the kids at the park instead of watching them play... Stop looking for the closest spot to park your car and park further away... Take the stairs... Walk the kids to school..... Take a evening stroll with your Honey... Get up from your desk and walk around the office every hour..

I can go on and on with ways to get moving more... These are extra tips outside of your work outs.....

To my beginners start walking everyday for a hour.... Not walking slow but a fast pace for a hour and make better decisions on your eating and you will watch the pounds start to melt off... Just from small little changes...

Nice post. I never say I'm on a "diet". The way I eat is a lifestyle choice because I want to be healthy.

Then my question to you is....all right to lets say it begins for vanity reason and eventually you realize it for your health...how do you stay motivated in those weeks where going to the gym feels so undesirable...you feel so tired and you think of other things you can do with your time. What do you do on those lazy weeks?

This was worded so well! Im really gonna take alot of what you've said into consideration, I've never thought of "dieting" in this way or thought of the reasoning behind it. Thanks:)

thanks Traycee! i'm trying to lose weight to feel better...only reason i put it on was because people were always making me feel like less of a woman for being "skinny". i'll never let someone make me feel bad about my body again!

Hi Traycee,
I hope you continue with the health tips. I'm starting my health journey along with my hair and it's to see a blog that incorporates both.

I am very happy to say that I am very fit and trim and people always ask me how I stay motivated to exercise and eat well - truth is it's simply a habit now... I am kind of addicted to the way it makes me feel!

I actually feel like crap if I DON'T exercise and eat well so I do it to feel amazing and look good.

Be gentle with yourself and start gradually - doing more and more GRADUALLY - before you know it - it's a habit and then it's a lifestyle!! :)

Love it!

This is very true. I've watched myself transform because I made this weight loss journey a lifestyle change and not something that's temporary. I could almost say I've become obsessed with fitness and health! Others are asking ME for tips. I feel very proud of myself. I've lost 45lbs so far!

I just started on my own little Lifestyle change and I will definitely say it has been easier and less stressful by NOT going on a diet and just simply deciding, 'I'm eating healthier now'. A diet feels temporary. It feels like a goal instead of something that is apart of your life like brushing your teeth. While it all is inevitably a "goal", I personally think its all about your mentality!!

Absolutely! But I'm so tired of "preaching" - everyone has to find their own way I suppose. Way to motivate.

I don't know how to diet at all! I break it in less than a day so I totally agree!
