Yummy Avocados

My Mothers neighbor has fresh avocados growing in his background and my Mother gave me a bag full... Besides all the dishes I plan on using them for ....I thought about  beauty receipes also...
Avocado's are so good for your skin and hair...They are filled with healthy fats and phytonutrients that are awesome for the skin and hair...Avocado Oil is very similar to your skins natural oil... So its great to use on your skin a couple of times a week if you have dry skin..

Avocado Face Mask

First take a half of avocado peel it and smash it (make sure it is soft and ripe) with a fork..Next add a 1tsp of honey and 1tsp of all natural yogurt and mix well... Now you have your very own Avocado Mask...

You should apply a thin layer of the mask ... Apply the mask after cleaning your face and let it sit for 15 mins.. Rinse with warm water..

Avocado Cleanser

What you do is beat the yolk of an egg until it is light and frothy... Next add a half cup of milk and a mashed half of a ripe peeled avocado. Make sure the avocado is ripe(soft) and mashed really well.. Beat the mixture with a fork until you have a thin creamy consistency. Apply on squares of cotton as you would any other cleanser. It's a very pure method of keeping your complexion free of pollutants which can interfere with normal skin function. Of course left overs would need to be kept in the fridge

Avocado Hair Mask

Mash the flesh of one ripe avocado. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until creamy and then apply to your hair. Leave for 20 minutes and then wash out with a gentle shampoo.

Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Palettes

Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Palettes are Here !!!!

From Left to Right: Comfort Zone, Blue Had Me At Hello, Petal Pusher

So I found these on accident last week... I was in Walgreens for my Dad picking up his meds and they had just got them in the night before ...They were already almost sold out... They had one of each palatte left so I swoop them up....

These palettes are amazing .... Every single eyeshadow in these palattes are super pigmented...

AWESOME FOR BEGINNERS

Just like with the other palattes the eyeshadows tell you where to place the shadows... Ex. Crease, eyelid, browbone and the newest one is Definer...  But it gets even better on the back of each palatte shows you how to use certain colors to create different looks. Ex Sweet Look, Flirty Look, Dramatic Look, and Wild Look... So it really takes all the guess work out for someone just learning how to do make up....

Palatte shows you how to create certain looks

Comfort Zone Palatte

Is the neutral palatte and it is beautiful... I could wear this palatte everyday.. The colors in them are beautiful..

This palatte has a mixture of colors a buttery skin tone color , bronzes and gold shimmer colors, a blackend dark brown and a beautiful olive green with gold shimmers.. This has to be my favorite out of all of them !!!

Blue Had Me At Hello..

Don't sleep on this palatte...Now if your not into the bright blue shadows don't get fooled by the one bright teal blue in the palatte..Because the rest of the colors are a must have for your collection.. It has a Matte Black, A shimmery Black ... It has a beautiful navy with shimmers and another deep navish blue .. A white shimmer , a silverish/ gray shimmer shadow and a pale bule... Its a must have also ....

Petal Pusher

Petal Pusher is what I call the romantic palatte ... With beautiful lilacs and a couple of colors in the pink family...It has a Golden plum with a strong red base ( its a exact dupe of Beauty Mark for MAC) ..Grape shade with gold and white shimmer ...A satin, blackened burgundy with burgundy shimmer ...

THESE PALATTES RETAIL FOR $4.99 each

Couple of Things From Sallys

Other day at Sallys I picked up just a couple of items... Megz has been raving about the ORS Olive Oil Edge Control so I thought I will pick it up and give it a try... So far I'm liking it but I will use it longer until I can do a real review on it...

I also picked up a Denam Brush when I couldn't find the Tangle Teezer.. Now I don't know if you remember the experience with the Denman brush in the past but it didn't go well.. (http://keepitsimplesista.blogspot.com/2008/10/so-not-feelin-brush.html)

But I thought I would give it a try again since my hair is a lot stronger now ...

Taking One Day At A Time

I have to take pics ASAP so you guys can see whats going on with my hair... Its really hard to get to my scalp these days with all the new growth and etc... But even with all the shrinkage that is coming from the first 5-6 inches ....My hair is passing WL unstretched and air dried... So I'm excited to see what progressed I made when I relax soon...

What I have been doing is leaving my hair alone... Example tonight I jumped in the shower rinsed my hair and added Bee Lovely through the roots and the length of my hair .. I let it stay on my hair for about 10 mins while I showered... Rinsed my hair before stepping out of the shower and tied on a shower turban on my hair... After about 10 mins I let my hair down and applied Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship and Avocado Oil..

What I do next is start the laying down of my edges... I apply something to my edges then with a soft brush lay my edges down... I tie on a scarf to my hair and let the rest hang out the back to air dry..

Pic of how I air dry with the back of my hair loose

I don't bun my wet hair because it will cause breakage...When my hair is mostly dry I just simply put it in a bun , pony, or a couple of braids.... I don't comb through it ... Don't detangle or anything... Just leave it alone... I co wash like this when I my new growth needs moisture or after I work out... I only detangle on wash days that's it...

I'm just taking one day at a time.. This has been the most challenging part of my hair journey...
