So I know you have seen my video "Fresh Cut For The New Year". As of now I have no regrets. I know eventually I will miss my hair. I'm sure once I wash my hair and its no longer straighten I will miss the length. Right now I'm just excited ! I can not wait till I am completely texlaxed.
I did relax my hair with the ORS Lye Normal Relaxer. I only left it in for about 15 mins to achieve my texlaxed hair . I don't mix anything in my relaxer. Because my hair is coarse I don't have to worry about it processing too fast. For some 15mins would relax their hair bone straight . So it really depends on the texture and how coarse your hair is.
After I rinsed out the relaxer I used Aphogee 2min Reconstructor for a few mins. Rinsed then used the ORS Neutralizing Shampoo. Deep conditioned with Sallys Generic of Nexxus Humectress Moisturizing Conditioner for 20 mins with heat.
Before blow drying my hair I sprayed my hair with Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 (green bottle) in my hair and then applied Herbal Essences long term relationship Leave in Conditioner to my hair. Applied just a couple of drops of CHI Silk infusion serum and sprayed it with CHI Heat protectant spray . Then my hair was ready for blow drying and flat ironing. These products did not weigh down my hair because very little of each product was used.
I wish I could wear my hair like this forever but the gym is calling my name lol

Happy New Year!
I came across your blog last night after doing some research. I have been on my own hair journey for the past six months. This is some of the BEST advice I've come across. I thank you so much for caring and sharing with other Black women. I pray you have an amazing year! Can't wait to see your new cut!
Love and many blessings!

PS: Any advice on how often you should get a trim???
You look wonderful! I've been following your blog for sometime now . Thankyou for the time you put into to. I plan on joining your site. I was surprised to see how much you cut off, but like said once....it just hair :)
It's been a long time since I self-relaxed. I was in braids for 6 mos and a stylist relaxed my hair prior to that. I say all of that to say this; I completely forgot about the protein treatment mid relaxer process. I usually use DuoTex during my relaxer process. Thanks so much for posting. Hopefully, for my hair's sake I remember next time.
One thing I love about your hair is how it consistently looks thick and healthy. Looking at your picture posted on the K.I.S.S. networking site (yellow dress) and the previous one (red top with flip) and your new January picture, your hair looks consistently thick and healthy. Great job!
Your hair looks nice.
do you blow dry your hair when it is dry or damp?
Nice makeup!
I like the texture I get from ORS but no matter how much I base my scalp it burns. Its a race to get the relaxer in and out! Any issues with burning Traycee?
Gee Your Hair Looks Terrific! It's nice, Thick and Full...Keep up the Good Work.
