Roots of Nature Mango Oil & Cupuacu Butter

From Soft Sheen Carson Roots of Nature Mango and Cupuacu Butter

Product claims
Combined with softening mango oil, our cream deeply nourishes and conditions to stretch and define each coil with just the right amount of hold for twists, braid-outs, and TWAs (teeny weeny afros). Dull, shrunken coils are transformed into lasting, soft, elongated, shiny coils.

    Ingredients
Water , Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil , Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) , Cetearyl Alcohol , Glycerin , Polysorbate 20 , Cetyl Alcohol , Behentrimonium Methosulfate , Bis Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate 2 , Butylene Glycol , Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Oil , Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupaucu) Seed Butter , Phenoxyethanol , Fragrance , Quaternium 33 , Sorbic Acid , VP/Dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate Copolymer , Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride , BHT , Geraniol , Limonene , Caramel , Methylisothiazolinone , Linalool , Benzyl Alcohol , 2 Oleamido 1 , Octadecanediol

This product definitely defined the waves in my braid out. I did 2 large braids but it gave a appearance as if I did 4 or 5. My hair was very moisturized and extremely soft. It did give a heavier braid out. Meaning it didn't have much movement and it was a little oilier than I prefer for my braid outs. Someone left a comment under my video for the review of this and said that they have a lighter version of this. I may have to look into that.

The only thing that I didn't like was that it smelled like a old lady to me. I don't mean bengay smell . I mean old grease. Was not happy with the smell at all . The smell eventually disappeared after applying.

Do you like it better than Mango butter and olive oil?

@laWanda Courtney .. Absolutely not . I don't care for the smell and it maked my braid out heavy

There is nothing nice or good about a funky product. The smell of a product will turn me off before I even try it.

If you don't have very coarse hair, more kinky/curly, then you want to get the Feather Whipped Curl Cream. The two different products are made for two different types of curl. The Butter Whipped is for tightly coiled hair, the Feather Whipped is for kinky/curly hair. Some call it mulatto hair, others call it biracial hair. I use Feather Whipped and it works great for me! Better than spending 20 bucks a jar for some other curl creams.
